Alimiyyah

In the midst of an era of ignorance, Islam dignified women in society by elevating them and equipping them with exceptional rights.

In the 7th Century the last Prophet of Allah (s.a.w) declared, “The pursuit of knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim”. This statement was not only directed towards Muslim men, but it was made mandatory on every believing man and woman that they pursue in the path of knowledge. Along with this He stated, “The best amongst you is the one who learns Qur’an or teaches it.” The very wife of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), Hadhrat Aisha (r.a) is famously held as one of the most influential scholars of Islaam.

What is the Alimiyyah Program?

The Alimiyyah Course is a post-secondary program designed to train its students in the classical foundations of the Islamic Sciences. It is a complete six year curriculum.

A certificate of completion will be given upon successfully completing any of the courses done at Amatur Rahman Academy

Requirements:

• Must be 12 years or older
• Ability to read the Quran with correct tajweed and fluency

The Alimiyyah program will cover:

• Arabic Literature
• Arabic Syntax
• Arabic Grammar
• Etymology
• Tafseer (Exegesis)
• Fiqh (Jurisprudence)
• Seerah (Prophetic Biography)
• Ahadeeth (Prophetic Traditions)
• Principles of Tafseer
• Principles of Ahadeeth
• Philosophy and Logic

Full-time students are expected to attend classes up to 7 hours per day, five days a week.

7:45 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

Course Completion:

This course takes about 6 – 7 years to complete
